COSMETIC ENHANCEMENT · HAWTHORN, MELBOURNE
ABOUT FACIAL COLLAGEN TREATMENT
Skin firmness and skin texture change over time with age, sun exposure and genetics. Facial collagen treatment is designed for skin going through those changes, and as with all cosmetic enhancement treatments, it starts with a proper assessment and a plan built around you.
Firmness changes slowly, so the best plans build over several visits rather than one. We look at your skin, your routine and your goals first, then explain what we would recommend and why.
For some people, the better starting point is improving overall skin quality first. If that suits you better, we will say so.
HOW WE CAN HELP
Results depend on your skin and what you want to achieve, but these are the concerns we are asked about most often.
Treatment can help skin look firmer and more resilient, with changes that build over a course of visits.
Where texture is part of the picture, treatment can help skin look smoother and more refined over time.
Many clients come in simply wanting their skin to look healthier. Hydration and firmness are related but different concerns. Where skin mostly looks dry or dull, bio-remodelling focuses on hydration and overall skin quality.
Once you are happy with your skin, we can plan how to maintain it, spacing visits according to what your skin needs.
The Process
Appointments follow the same steps, adjusted to your skin on the day.
At our Hawthorn clinic, we begin by assessing your skin and talking through what you have noticed. We ask about your health, your routine and any treatment you have had before.
If treatment is right for you, we explain what it involves, the risks and what to expect, and set out how many visits are likely to suit you. Texture close to the surface is often better handled by skin treatments, so your plan reflects what is actually behind the changes you see.
Chantallè carries out your treatment herself, working methodically and checking in with you throughout.
We explain your aftercare before you leave, so you know how to look after your skin over the next few days.
Results build gradually, so we review your skin at each visit and adjust your plan as it responds.
YOUR PRACTITIONER
Chantallè, our Cosmetic Nurse and Practice Manager, has more than 15 years of experience in aesthetics. Her approach is calm and conservative, and she is clear from the start about what treatment can realistically achieve and how many visits it is likely to take.
She also brings experience in skin health and body treatments, and as Practice Manager she keeps the team working to the same clinical standards.
Risks to know about: As with any cosmetic procedure, facial collagen treatment carries some risk. Redness, swelling, bruising and tenderness are the most common short-term effects. Less common risks include infection, allergic reaction and uneven results, and rarely, complications can be serious and need further treatment. We explain the risks for your skin before you commit to a course.
BEFORE AND AFTER
Preparation helps your skin respond well. If you have an event coming up, book at least [X weeks] ahead, as results build gradually over several visits.
